Photo GalleryToday I guided John Quinlizan and his guests from Rome Georgia. It was a cold and windy day and fishing was tough all over the lake. We still had a good day and caught a lot of small fish with 10 real big crappie. The biggest we caught was around 1 3/4 lb. We were longline trolling in 8 to 9 ft of water.

I fished today with Steve Buchanan and Marshall Drake from Indiana. We had a fantastic day. We were long line trolling in 12-24 foot of water. Winds were blowing 17-20mph and we caught 49 huge crappie. Several were over 2lb.
Weiss Lake – March 6, 2012
Today I guided Randy Carlson and Don Morgan. We longline trolled in 8 to 9 feet water. We caught about 100 fish with 29 big fish. It was a cold and windy day but we still had a great day on the water
Weiss Lake – March 1, 2012
Today I fished Weiss Lake. I was out pre fishing for a Crappie USA Tournament. Fishing was rather slow today. I did catch 5 big fish on my manmade stakes beds. One of them was 3lb (pictured below). This was one of the largest I’ve ever caught from Weiss Lake.

On the water again today with Ray and Linda Broadus. It was a very windy day (20mph) plus we had to deal with rain. We fished for 1/2 a day today and caught 37 large crappie. We had 4 that were 2lb.

Guided on Logan Martin again today with Ray and Linda Broadus. We had a great day fishing under the umbrellas. We caught about 75 fish with 57 keepers with a 2lb big fish. We were long line trolling in 12 ft. of water.

Back on Logan Martin today with Ray & Linda Broadus. We had a good day. Linda & Ray caught 90 fish with 60 keepers. Linda caught a 2.1lb and 1.15lb crappie. We were long line trolling and straight line fishing on the river channels, 12ft to 16ft deep.
Weiss Lake – February 26, 2012
Guided Steve Chambers and two guest on Weiss Lake today. Fishing was tough. We caught 25 fish but only had 6 big fish. We were fishing the river channels but the fish were moving to shallow bays.

My guest today was Linda & Ray Broadus from Biloxi, MS. It was a very windy and cold day. We caught a lot crappie with 38 keepers. We were straight line fishing the river channels with minnows over brush and man made cover.

Last day with Kathy and Bill Burrows before they go back to Indiana. We faced 35mph winds on a Sunny day of 76 degrees. We still caught a lot of crappie. We caught around 50 crappie with 30 keepers. We were straight lining again with minnows in 12-14 foot of water on the river channel.
