Today I was fishing Weiss Lake. I caught over 70 fish but only caught 15 over 11inches. I fished the river channels and the mouth of creeks. They were every when I went but the key to catching these fish in 90 degree water and air temps around 98 is to fish slow and under an umbrella to stay cool.

Today I was fishing on Neely Henry. It was very hot and windy. I caught a lot of fish but most were small. I was fishing on the river channel over brush in 16ft of water with minnows. They were not pulling water, so the big fish would not bite. The water temperature was 90 degrees.

My knee replacement surgery was a great success. I’m getting around great and I am back on the water. Starting immediately I am able to begin taking guide trips again. Give me a call and we’ll go catch some summertime crappie.
