Today my guest was Ronnie Bleas. We fished river channels in 12 to 14 ft deep. The bite was light and very slow but the fish we caught were big and we lost about 15 trying to get them in the boat.

Today I had John Watson and from Texas, Terry Longer and Larry Redder. The bite was light and slow due to fact the water is turning over. We fished 19 places to catch a good mess of summer time crappie…but it was still a good day on the water!

Today I fished with Buddy Brueck. The bite was tough. We caught 25 fish in a half day. The fish were in different depths and different places as the fish are moving due to the change in weather and water temp.

The Crappie Masters Classic was last week. The fishing was tough. Were a lot of big fish but no one could catch many. Out of 191 teams in two days only 7 teams weighted in 7 fish a day. Most teams caught 2 to 4 fish. It was won pulling crank baits.

Today my guests were Gene Dean and Butch Herb. We fished a half a day and caught over 45 fish. It was a catch and release day and an instructional day for how to spider rig and use the side scan to find fish on the river channels. They did a great job and we had fun doing it.

Today I was fishing with Alex Barraka and his buddy Charles Mickle. We caught 52 good crappie on a half day trip. We lost over 20 because the bite was so light. We fished minnows only, spider rigging ledges in 12 to 18 ft of water.
