Logan Martin – June 28, 2012

Today my guest was David Allen. We fished Logan Martin and it was a very hot day. We caught 106 fish and kept 60 for him to carry home. We had our limit at 9:30 and quit at 1pm. The water temp was 90 degree and the fish were deep in cover but were biting good.

Today I carried Kent Keys and his nephew to Logan Martin for a half day. We caught so many fish we lost count. It was a catch and release day and we had a great time.

Today I had the famous Mitchell Johns, known as “Crankbait”, and his partner Joey Berry. We were fishing Logan Martin. It was a summer pattern…Hot and Deep. They were a catching machine. They had 74 keepers and Mitchell kept catching the big fish. They caught over 100 fish and 9 big bass.

Weiss Lake – April 27, 2012

Today I was on Weiss Lake with Mark Fry and his wife Cheryl. We spider rig over brush. It was a very tough day. We caught over 70 fish but only 14 were keepers. It was fun and we were on fish all day long. It kept every body busy.

This was our third and final day on Logan Martin with Ed and Evans. Again it was 20 mph wind, but we managed to catch 46 keeper fish. These Three days I had a great time with one Alabama fan and one Auburn fan (Ed played for Auburn, but I didn’t hold that against him).

Today was the second day with Ed Graham and Evans Smith on Logan Martin. We ended up with 51 keeper crappie. We had 20 mph wind and it was hard to fish, but we still had a great day.

Today I guided Ed Graham and Evans Smith on Logan Martin. We were fishing river channels in 14ft of water and caught 65 keeper fish. It was windy and cold.

Today I fished a half day with Mark Holmes and his daughter Gracie. We had a fund day. The wind was blowing 20-30mph and we caught 65 fish that Gracie has to clean on her birthday. We were straight lining over brush with minnows.

My guest today was Kent Keys. We fished Neely Henry Lake and caught over 90 fish. They were big ones. Put up your cork and trolling rods…the fish have spawned and on there summer pattern. We caught them 12 to 14 ft deep with minnows over brush.

Today was my last day with Mike and his grandson on Logan Martin. It was still cold and windy, but we had a great day and caught 58 keepers.
