Logan Martin – June 20, 2012

Today I was on Logan Martin hunting for new spots. I found 10 good locations today and caught over 60 fish. I had some big ones on the river. I caught one of the biggest summer time crappie I have ever caught today. This big white crappie weighed in at 2.6lbs. I had 5 more very big crappie today also. I was fishing minnows in 18ft of water.

Today I was back on Logan Martin checking for new places to catch summer time crappie. I caught over 70 fish. I released them all and took picture of the size. It was a good hot day.

Today I was fishing Logan Martin hunting new summer places to fish. It was a hot 95 degrees. I fished 8 places and caught over 100 fish. Some were real big fish, but all were keepers. I was fishing minnows in 16-18 ft of water. All were released to catch another day.

Today I fished logan martin. It was hot but I caught 45 crappie and 10 bass. I was longline trolling with jigs and straight lining over brush in 12 to 14 ft of water.

Weiss Lake – March 1, 2012

Today I fished Weiss Lake. I was out pre fishing for a Crappie USA Tournament. Fishing was rather slow today. I did catch 5 big fish on my manmade stakes beds. One of them was 3lb (pictured below). This was one of the largest I’ve ever caught from Weiss Lake.

Fishing Report: Was fishing with a guest today, Mike Howard from Oxford, AL. We caught some big crappie today. We were long line trolling in 8-9 foot of water with 1/32oz and 1/16oz jigs.

Weiss Lake – February 17, 2012

Water Temperature: 49 degrees

Visibility: Stained

Fishing Report: Fishing was tough on long line trolling. Caught 40 big fish from 1lb to 1 3/4lb fishing river channel with minnow deep.

Fishing Report: Caught 58 big fish. Long line trolling with 1/32 oz jigs and straight line brush in 17 foot of water with minnows.

Water Temperature:  49 degrees

Visibility: stained

Fishing Report:  Caught over 40 fish today.  I caught a big crappie weighing 2.8lbs.  All were caught on man made cover between 6-18 ft of water.

Water Temperature: 51 degrees

Visibility: stained

Fishing Report:  Saturday was a great day.  I was fishing the river channel with minnows in 12-14 ft of water and caught over 70 crappie.  Sunday was another good day.  I caught over 60 crappie in the back end of a creek using minnows in 6-8ft of water.
