Today I was pre fishing the lake. It was cold and windy. I finally caught 46 crappie in deep water pulling 1/8 oz jigs. The water temp was 39 degrees and very stained.

Today I was checking the lake for a guide trip. slow trolling was the way to catch these deep crappie. the bite was slower today but managed to catch 47 crappie. The water temp was 43 degrees and still muddy.

Today was catch and release day. I was slow trolling in deep water and caught 53 good crappie. The water temp was 42 degrees and muddy.

Just checking new places. The fish are still biting, slow trolling is the way to catch these fall fish. 20 to 28 feet deep using 1.5 oz. weights on the lower end of lake seems to be the best.

Today I was fun fishing and caught 65 good fish. The bite is getting better everyday.

Grenada Lake Ms – Crappie Masters Classic

The Crappie Masters Classic was last week. The fishing was tough. Were a lot of big fish but no one could catch many. Out of 191 teams in two days only 7 teams weighted in 7 fish a day. Most teams caught 2 to 4 fish. It was won pulling crank baits.

Today I was doing a boat ready test for the Crappie Master Classic so I fished 3hrs and caught 45 fish…took a few pics and released them for another day. I was fishing 10 to 17 ft deep on the river channels using minnows

Today my guest was Ronnie Bleas and his better half who was not in the picture. They caught over 90 fish and kept a limit of good summer time crappie. The water temp was 87 degrees and we were fishing the river channels. I had to fish 15 different places but we had a good day in the rain

Today I fished Neely Henry water temp was 87 degrees and the water was stained. I fished the river channels and caught 60 good fish. At one point I had 3 fish on at a time. The bite was very light.

Today I my guest was Dexter Smalls and his son William. We caught alot of good summer time crappie in thunder storms and wind and heavy rain. We still had a good day!
