Lake Level:  4ft below summer level

Water Temperature:  50 degree

Visibility:  Murky

Fishing Report:   I had three good days of fishing.  Saturday I caught and released 55 crappie in 5 hours.  I spent 4 hours Sunday and caught 45 crappie.  Monday I fished the river channel and caught 37.  The fish were holding on brush and were hitting straight minnows in 12 – 14 ft of water.  The bite was very light.

Lake Level: Winter Level

Water Temperature:  59.2 degrees

Visibility: Murky

Fishing Report:  Fish holding on river channels 12 – 14 ft deep over 22 foot of water holding on brush.   I was fishing with minnows with a 1 ounce weight and caught over 40 fish.  Many were 9 3/4 inches. I kept 19 good fish.

Lake Level: Down 2.8 ft

Water Temperature: 61 degrees

Visibility: stained

Fishing Report:  Fished river channels in 12 – 14 ft of water on brush.  I caught 19 in a 4 hour trip.  Uses jigs tipped with minnows and release all fish caught.

 

Weiss Lake – November 9, 2011

Lake Level:2.5 feet down

Water Temperature:57 degrees

Visibility:stained

Fishing Report:  Fished today on weiss lake and had a great day. Fish were shallow 4 ft to 6ft.  Was fishing brush and caught a limit of big crappie. I caught a 2lb. 6oz. crappie and put it back for another day.

Lake Level: 2 1/2 feet Down

Water Temperature: 67 degrees

Visibility: Stained

Fishing Report:  Fished creek channels in 10ft of water.  Caught over 30 fish on jigs tipped with minnows.  The bite was very light.

Lake Level:  Full Pool

Water Temperature:  72 degrees

Visibility:  Stained

Fishing Report:  Crappie were on the river channel ledges in 12 ft.  The crappie were small but were lots of them.

Alabama River – October 1, 2011

Lake Level: 2ft Below Summer Level

Water Temperature: 77 Degrees

Visibility: Clear

Fishing Report:  Crappie were on the main river, 18-25 feet deep, and on brush.  Bite is real light and used straight minnows.
